Albania triumphs in the Global CyberDrill 2024, the largest event organized annually by the global community in managing and addressing cyber threats.
The news was announced by the director of the National Agency for Information Society, Linda Karçanaj, who informed on social networks that Franc Zylyftari from NISA, Adriano Lleshi, and Ilir Daka from ACDCSK performed among the best out of 113 participating states.
The event, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the National Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates, according to her, entered the Guinness Book of Records due to the high number of participating countries.
"With the aim of uniting Cyber Security Authorities and Agencies from around the world, the competitive event serves to assess the performance of each national team at a global level," Karçanaj said.
The event focused on simulating real scenarios of cyber attacks to test national teams and evaluate their performance based on the speed and response to cyber threats.
