City Goods in Ohio City Hosts Its First Monthly Summer Market

Sat 5/11 @ 10AM-4PM

In the fall of 2022 a cluster of silver, hangar-like, arched buildings cropped up on the corner of East 28th and Church Avenue in the section of Ohio City dubbed “Hingetown.” City Goods, as it was called, held nearly two dozen local small businesses, offering everything from body products to vinyl records to plants to home décor, as well as a craft cocktail bar, the Hangar.

Earlier this year, the local community development corporation, Ohio City Inc., took over running City Goods to improve efficiency and create more opportunities for budding entrepreneurs and small businesses, turning it into a nonprofit. To raise its profile and create more foot traffic, it’s hosting a series of summer markets on the second Saturday of each month, May through October. There’ll be pop-up vendors as well as those in the buildings, food and local music. Dogs are welcome too! The markets kick off with the Mother’s Day-themed market Saturday May 11 @10AM-4PM

Other market dates are June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14 and October 12. Get on their mailing list to learn about other special events, such as dog yoga and open mic poetry nights, as well.
