Massachusetts State Troopers arrest woman for allegedly trafficking cocaine, other drugs

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said that a Taunton woman was arrested got allegedly trafficking cocaine and other drugs.

38-year-old Kiana Mendes was charged with trafficking in cocaine, six counts of possession of a Class B substance, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and using an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.

On April 22 a trooper noticed a driver using a cellphone while driving.

After running the car’s plates the trooper found the registration was revoked and a traffic stop was initiated.

The trooper then learned that Mendes’ license was revoked and he searched her, allegedly finding baggies of a substance suspected to be crack cocaine with a combined weight of 64 grams, in addition to numerous pills, cash, and suboxone strips.

Mendes was arraigned and bail was set at $5,000.
